From Media Mention to Business Impact

A mention is a moment. Here is how to turn coverage into enquiries, credibility and growth you can actually measure.

Getting featured feels like a result. In truth it is a starting point. The businesses that benefit most from PR are the ones that treat every mention as an asset to be used, not a trophy to be framed.

Put coverage to work

Share it where your customers are: on social channels, in newsletters, on your website and in sales conversations. An “as featured in” line on a proposal carries real weight.

Brief your team as well. The people who speak to customers every day should know what has been published and how to refer to it.

Measure what moves

Counting clippings tells you very little. More useful signals include referral traffic from coverage, growth in searches for your brand name, your share of voice against competitors, the quality of links earned and the enquiries that mention where they heard of you.

None of these is perfect on its own. Together they show whether visibility is turning into interest.

Connect PR to the pipeline

Ask every new enquiry how they found you, and record the answer. Add tracking to the links you control. Over a few months a pattern appears, and you can see which stories and channels are doing the most for the business.

Think in quarters, not days

The effect of PR builds over time. Judge it across a quarter or a year, and look for direction rather than a single spike.
